Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy consists of three stages:
(1) Pressurisation – Once everyone is inside, the operator will close the door and start pressurisation. The air pressure inside the chamber is slowly increased.
(2) Treatment – This begins when the pressure reaches the desired level. We run dives at 1.5 atmospheres absolute (ATA), at 1.75 ATA and at 2ATA, and the pressure is held for an hour. During this time people tend to read, listen to music, use their tablets or just relax.
(3) Depressurisation – The air pressure is released slowly.
AT ALL TIMES while Oxygen Therapy is taking place, there is a trained operator and a two-way communication system to ensure your peace of mind and relaxation.
